The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
Join our respite service team in a rewarding night shift role, helping support people experiencing mental distress through short‑term, recovery‑focused respite. You’ll work closely with mental health services and clinical teams to create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where guests feel heard and cared for.
The role includes providing medication support, offering compassionate care, engaging guests in activities, and assisting with daily household tasks such as cooking and cleaning.
This is a permanent, part-time role working 24 hours per week, Thursday to Saturday, 11:00pm to 7:30am based in Palmerston North. This role is ideal to those who enjoy overnight work and a more settled pace, while staying responsive to guest needs within a supportive environment.
You | Mōu
- A current full driver’s licence
- Current first aid certificate or are you willing to obtain one
- New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent
- Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the articles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
