About the role:

• 1. Investment Tax Mechanics & Fund Processing

  • Daily KEST: Own the daily KEST activities, run controls, solve incidents and support the Product team.

  • Vorabpauschale (Advance Lump-Sum Tax): Support Product in the complete execution lifecycle of the annual Vorabpauschale calculation under the German Investment Tax Act (InvStG).

  2. Digital Dividend & Regulatory Reporting Transformation

  • MiKaDiv Execution: Support Product in the technical implementation and operational governance of MiKaDiv (Mitteilungsverfahren Kapitalertragsteuer auf Dividenden). Lead continuous data gathering throughout the custody chain, validate beneficial ownership timelines, and secure the electronic transmission paths required to fetch the mandatory unique tax reference numbers (UUIDs) from the BZSt.

  • NEK (Nichtentrichtete Kapitalertragsteuer): Manage reporting and exception workflows surrounding non-withheld or uncollectible capital gains tax (e.g., when an account lacks sufficient cash liquidity during a tax event like the Vorabpauschale), ensuring seamless reporting logs to the local tax offices via CPB.

  3. Customer Tax Exemptions & Account Adjustments

  • FSAk (Freistellungsauftrag / Kontrollverfahren): Support CPB with the submission and by running controls.

  • NV-Bescheinigungen: Validate, track, and audit Non-Assessment Certificates (Nichtveranlagungs-Bescheinigungen), ensuring proper single vs. joint application rules.

  • Loss Pot Management (Verlusttöpfe): Oversee the automated real-time logic of the Share Loss Pot (Aktienverlusttopf) and General Loss Pot (Allgemeiner Verlusttopf), cross-pot optimization offsets, and cross-border or marital Verlusttopf-Überträge (loss pot transfers) during account migrations or closures.

  • Deceased Account Backward Correction (Erbfall): Blueprint and implement the technical logic for backward tax corrections (rückwirkende Korrektur) in the event of an end-user's death, ensuring the immediate freeze and retro-active dissolution of exemption orders (FSA) and the automated cross-year recalculation/neutralization of loss pots (Verlusttöpfe) up to the exact date of death.

  • Church Tax Automation: Control the query process (KiStAM) to the BZSt, including ensuring the application of the correct split-tax formulas (Halbteilungsgrundsatz) to joint accounts with mixed religious denominations.

  4. Tax Documentation & Core IT Collaboration

  • Jahressteuerbescheinigung: Support CPB and Product in the flawless generation of the annual German tax certificate (Jahressteuerbescheinigung e.g., Erträgnisaufstellung), including complex edge cases for joint account primary address routing.

  • Product Tax Engine Architecture: Act as the primary business analyst for Product and Tech Engineering teams, writing technical tax specifications to translate German tax updates into automated core banking system logic.
