💼 About The Role
The Campus Academic Manager is a pivotal all-encompassing role, responsible for the day-to-day operations and overall academic delivery of a small ‘start up’ campus with approximately 50 students. This hybrid role encompasses academic leadership, campus administration, and facilities management. The successful candidate will help co-ordinate campus academic program delivery, oversee the smooth running of the campus, and handle operational responsibilities, including building opening and closing and general facilities oversight.
This position requires a highly organised individual capable of taking ownership of the campus, ensuring that academic excellence, operational efficiency, and student satisfaction are achieved consistently.
🌟 Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership
- Support faculty to create a high-quality, student-focused academic environment.
- Ensure effective delivery of programs in line with academic standards and institutional goals.
- Monitor teaching quality, student engagement, and academic outcomes, and address areas for improvement.
- Provide pastoral care and support for students to aid their personal and academic development with wider support from relevant central service teams.
- Collaborate with Programme Leaders to ensure that campus resources and facilities meet educational needs.
Campus Administration
- Oversee student lifecycle processes, including enrolment, attendance tracking, and progression management.
- Maintain accurate and compliant student records using the Student Management System (SMS).
- Prepare timetables, manage assessments, and produce reports on student performance metrics.
- Support quality assurance activities, including audits and reviews, ensuring compliance with policies.
- Dealing with informal, Early Stage or Formal Stage Complaints and reporting them to the Quality team.
- Ensure that student-facing materials (handbooks, campus guides) are accurate and accessible.
- Act as the primary contact for students and staff for academic and operational matters.
Facilities and Operations Management
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the campus, including opening and closing the building.
- Manage facilities operations, ensuring the campus remains a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
- Oversee maintenance schedules, vendor management, and emergency procedures.
- Act as the point of contact for facilities-related issues, addressing concerns promptly and effectively.
- Support sustainability initiatives and assist with compliance to health and safety regulations.
- Lead campus preparedness for events such as open days and graduation ceremonies.
- Help to facilitate campus tours as and when necessary, alongside the Campus recruitment Officer.
Strategic and Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with the Operations Team Leads to align campus operations with broader strategic objectives.
- Ensuring Events are co-ordinated with the central teams to ensure a good campus environment for any stakeholder.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in academic delivery and campus management.
- Proven ability to manage diverse responsibilities, including operational and academic functions.
- Familiarity with facilities management and health and safety compliance (preferred).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent People Skills with a drive to network and engage in network relationships
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with student management systems and office tools such as MS Office and Google Suite.

Additional Details
- The role will be required daily on site but flexibility over distribution of 0.8 FTE hours can be negotiated ensuring opening and closing of building is covered
