Department: Royalty Tracking & BI
Reporting To: Director of Tracking & BI
Location: London, United Kingdom
Hybrid Working: 3 days in your local office
Full-time | Permanent
The Role
As a Junior Tracking Analyst on our Royalty Tracking & BI team, you’ll play a key role in supporting our Writer & Publisher Relations, Finance, Royalties, and Copyright teams by transforming data into valuable insights. You’ll ensure revenue from global affiliates is accurately tracked and help identify new opportunities to maximise revenue across new and existing markets. Reporting directly to the Director of Tracking & BI, you’ll be at the heart of driving transparent and actionable data solutions.
To succeed in this role, you will need strong organisational and prioritisation skills, along with the ability to adapt quickly to new challenges. A positive, can-do attitude is essential, as is the ability to tell a compelling story with data. You should be able to make sense of ambiguous business queries and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to clarify and align on deliverables. Taking ownership of creating actionable dashboards that make business intelligence accessible across departments will be a key responsibility. You will manage both recurring and ad-hoc projects, with a focus on income tracking to maximise value and provide clients with transparent, accurate royalty reporting. You should also be comfortable working with large datasets and proficient in communicating insights through data visualisation.
This is a great opportunity to join a passionate, innovative team where your work will have a direct impact on the music industry’s most transparent and accurate royalty reporting.
What You'll Do
- You create, improve and maintain actionable dashboards that solve business problems.
- You conduct ad hoc investigations, create reports, and deliver insights to Senior Management.
- You support income royalty analysis for external clients and internal queries.
- You maintain and improve processes tracking income over time.
- You investigate income gaps and payment anomalies with your cross-functional peers.
- You keep updated on incoming statements from PROs, CMOs, and direct licences to inform revenue performance.
- You assist with audit investigations, delivering accurate analysis and commentary.
- You enhance your technical skills and domain knowledge to apply in ongoing projects.
- You collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and address business challenges.
What You'll Bring
Preferred:
- Experience with Tableau for dashboard creation, development and maintenance.
- Basic SQL skills (writing queries, joining tables, case logic).
- Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, charts).
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving mindset.
- High numeracy and attention to detail.
Additional Skills That Could Add Value:
A basic understanding of publishing and royalty income flow across various revenue and rights streams, including radio, live performance, audio visual, and particularly the digital landscape and major DSPs.

By Month 6: Delivering Actionable Insights
You'll be independently creating and maintaining dashboards, supporting income tracking initiatives, investigating payment anomalies, and delivering meaningful analysis that helps improve transparency and supports business decision-making.
By Year 1: Trusted Business Partner
