MSL Engineering is a mechanical engineering contractor delivering complex projects in Ireland and across Europe. We are seeking a Material & Systems Coordinator to support our fabrication and project operations from Ringaskiddy.
Position Summary
Reporting to: Store Manager
Location: Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork
Scope: MSL projects in Ireland & Europe
System: ISAMS (Isometric Administration & Management System)
The Material & Systems Coordinator is responsible for the accurate control, movement and traceability of mechanical materials across MSL projects. The role combines practical knowledge of mechanical materials with strong system discipline to ensure stock records, certification and material movements are accurately maintained in ISAMS.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the picking, staging and issue of materials to fabrication, assembly and project teams.
- Maintain accurate material transactions and stock records within ISAMS.
- Identify and report stock shortages, discrepancies and non-conforming materials.
- Verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders, packing lists and project requirements.
- Check material certification and maintain traceability from receipt through to issue.
- Support cycle counts, inventory checks and stock-control activities.
- Ensure materials are stored, preserved and segregated in line with company and project requirements.
- Liaise with Central Engineering, Purchasing, Fabrication and site teams on material requirements.
- Contribute to a safe, organised and compliant stores environment.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Ability to read and interpret piping isometrics and work packs.
- Working knowledge of mechanical process materials, including pipe, fittings, flanges, gaskets and fasteners.
- Strong IT and systems capability, with a high level of accuracy in a database-driven environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly in relation to material specification and certification.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities and communicate clearly with different teams.
Desirable
- Previous experience in stores, material control or material coordination within mechanical engineering, piping or construction.
- Knowledge of material certification and EN 10204 requirements.
- Experience using ERP or material management systems.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences or data centre project environments.
