About the Team
Our Creative team shapes how a category leader shows up during the most interesting stretch of its story. The problems are real, the audience is smart, the leadership team is invested in creativity, and there's genuine room to leave a mark on a brand that thousands of enterprises already trust.
Role Purpose & Impact
We're looking for a Creative Director to own the creative direction and evolution of the Druva brand across everything we make. This is the person who decides how Druva looks, feels, moves, and lands, from the brand system itself to campaigns, video, web, events, product marketing, and the stories our executives tell on the world's biggest stages.
It's a rare combination of canvas and craft. You'll inherit a strong, growing brand in a category that's being reinvented in real time by AI, and you'll have the mandate to push it somewhere sharper and braver. You'll lead our in-house creative team, set the bar for creative excellence, and partner across marketing, product, and leadership to make Druva show up with the clarity and confidence of a company defining what resilience means in the AI era.
We're especially excited to meet creative leaders who are AI-forward. These are people who have genuinely rewired how they and their teams work, using AI to compress timelines, expand exploration, and kill the busywork, without ever letting the human craft, taste, and originality slip. We want more ideas and better craft, not faster sameness.
This role reports to the VP of Corporate Marketing and is based at our Santa Clara headquarters on a hybrid schedule.
What You'll Do
- Own the creative direction and evolution of the Druva brand, from visual language and motion to tone and expression, ensuring consistency, quality, and ambition across every touchpoint: digital, physical, video, and experiential.
- Lead, mentor, and grow the skills of the in-house creative team, managing designers, video, and web creative talent while building a culture of craft, collaboration, and creative courage. You'll develop people, not just approve work.
- Stay hands-on. You'll run the studio and get in the file. The best ideas here will often be yours, executed by you, at the level you're asking of everyone else.
- Translate deeply technical concepts into creative that connects, turning agentic AI, data security, cyber resilience, and platform architecture into visual storytelling that a CIO, a CISO, and a backup admin all immediately understand.
- Set the AI-forward creative operating model. Evaluate, adopt, and responsibly govern AI tools across concepting, production, and iteration; establish clear standards for where AI accelerates the work and where the human hand is non-negotiable; teach the team to use these tools well.
- Lead brand-defining creative moments, including product launches, category campaigns, flagship events, and analyst and customer storytelling, from concept through execution.
- Serve as creative partner to our executives, shaping keynote visuals, executive storytelling, and thought leadership so our leaders show up with a distinctive, unmistakably Druva point of view.
- Set the creative direction for druva.com and our digital experience, designing web that pops off the page. We want pages people remember: bold, expressive, unmistakably premium, and nothing like the templated enterprise sites we compete against.
- Own video and motion creative, from product explainers and customer stories to brand films and social content, setting the creative vision for animation across channels.
- Define the creative vision for Druva's presence at global events and tradeshows, partnering with our events team to deliver immersive, on-brand experiences that people remember after the badge comes off.
- Partner closely with Product Marketing, Corporate Comms, PR, AR, Social, and Demand Gen, so the visual and editorial identity move as one system rather than a set of one-offs.
- Establish and run a clear creative operating model covering briefing, intake, review cycles, and quality standards, using Asana to make prioritization, capacity, and status visible to the whole business.
- Manage creative resourcing, agency relationships, and production budgets, knowing when to build in-house and when to buy.
- Maintain and evolve the Druva brand guidelines and design system, keeping them living and usable rather than a PDF nobody opens.
- Track and communicate the impact of creative on brand awareness, engagement, and campaign performance.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 8+ years in brand, creative, or design leadership, with proven experience building, leading, and mentoring a multidisciplinary creative team.
- A portfolio that makes us sit up: exceptional creative direction across brand, digital, and video, showing both strategic thinking and execution excellence.
- Demonstrated fluency with AI in the creative process: a real point of view on which tools earn their place, how to use them responsibly, and how to protect originality and craft while moving significantly faster.
- Web design that pops off the page. Your portfolio has sites and campaign pages with real visual ambition, the kind that make people stop and look twice.
- A strong track record translating complex technical concepts into clear, compelling visual storytelling.
- Deep expertise across brand, campaign, video, and motion creative, with the ability to create cohesive experiences across every touchpoint.
- Exceptional organizational instincts. You've built creative operating models, intake and review processes, and quality standards that let teams work efficiently at scale.
- A sharp editorial eye and uncompromising standards for craft, consistency, and creative quality.
- Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing across marketing, product, and leadership.
- Seniority sufficient to have run a creative studio before, paired with a genuine willingness to stay hands-on and execute the work directly.
- Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments where the brand is being built and pushed forward, not just maintained.
- A real passion for AI and technology, and the curiosity to keep learning as the category moves.
Ways to Stand Out
- Creative leadership experience in AI, SaaS, cloud, cybersecurity, or enterprise infrastructure
- Experience defining or redefining a brand at a high-growth or category-creating company
- Experience working directly with executives on keynotes, storytelling, and high-visibility moments
- Hands-on strength in motion design, experiential, or large-scale event creative
- Web work with a distinct visual signature, ideally including a site redesign or rebrand you led end to end
- Fluency with Asana for creative operations, intake, and resourcing
- Fluency with Figma, Canva and Midjourney
- Familiarity with technical audiences (IT, security, and infrastructure buyers) and how to create for them without dumbing it down
- Experience scaling an in-house creative team from lean to full capability
- A strong, well-argued point of view on where brand and AI intersect, and how to use emerging tools responsibly
