Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

The team brings Link’s brand and product stories to life through compelling, platform-native organic social content. Working closely with Brand, Creative, and agency partners, we turn strong ideas into high-quality storytelling that informs and engages audiences. The team also tests new creative approaches, uses performance and community insights to refine what works, and shares learnings across the organization.

What you’ll do

Brand extension into organic social

  • Steward Link’s brand promise, brand voice and tone and creative standards for the organic social channels (in particular, Instagram, TikTok, and X); you're the internal authority on what on-brand looks like within the organic channel working in close partnership with our head of brand internally
  • Translate Link’s broader brand positioning into social-specific strategies and briefing frameworks the agency can work from with clear guardrails
  • Evaluate and pressure-test agency-originated ideas for brand integrity before they get produced; catch what's off and redirect with specificity.
  • Partner with our Head of Brand to ensure social is a genuine expression of brand health, a testing ground, and a helpful input to shape the evolution of our brand over time based on learnings.

Platform Strategy & Channel Direction

  • Evolve platform-specific strategies with clear rationale: which channels we're on, what role each plays, what "winning" looks and feels like on each
  • Bring platform fluency to evaluate whether agency ideas are actually native to each channel, knowing the difference between a post that was adapted for TikTok and one that was built for it
  • Guide the agency on format choices, creative approaches, and content types per platform; your direction should make their output sharper
  • Stay ahead of platform shifts; be the internal authority on what's changing and what it means for our creative approach and channel mix

Agency Direction & Partnership Management

  • Own the agency relationship day-to-day: brief quality, feedback quality, creative reviews, and the overall standard of the work coming out of the partnership
  • Write and refine briefs that give the agency enough strategic and creative direction to produce strong first drafts
  • Establish a review and feedback cadence that's efficient and that makes the agency's work measurably better over time; you're their best creative partner
  • Manage agency output against brand standards, platform performance expectations, and business priorities
  • Own the stakeholder approval process.  Map who needs to weigh in at each stage, build the workflows that move content through Legal, Compliance, Brand, and leadership review without killing creative momentum, and get smarter about how to frame work to earn fast alignment.

Editorial Oversight & Content Strategy

  • Own the editorial calendar strategy — priorities, themes, moments, and content types — even when the agency is driving the calendar mechanics
  • Review and approve content before it publishes with a dual lens: is it on-brand and is it built to perform
  • Over time as the channel content matures, ensure the content mix reflects a coherent strategy

Community & Engagement Strategy

  • Own the escalation layer: anything sensitive, high-stakes, or genuinely ambiguous comes to you before it goes out
  • Surface community signals: what's resonating, what's creating friction, what people are actually asking and relay that back into Product, Comms, and CS as useful input

Performance & Measurement

  • Own the measurement framework: define what matters, ensure dashboards exist, and deliver performance reviews to marketing leadership that connect social activity to brand and business outcomes
  • Evaluate agency performance reporting and help refine as needed
  • Use performance data to sharpen briefs and strategic direction; close the loop between what we’ve learned and what the agency is asked to do differently

Cross-Functional Integration

  • Integrate organic social into launch plans from Day 1 alongside Product Marketing and Brand Marketing
  • Coordinate with PR/Comms on earned media, crisis response, and executive social presence
  • Work with Legal and Compliance on content approval frameworks; keep the agency informed Stakeholder Alignment & Approval
  • Build and maintain a stakeholder map: who has approval authority, who has input rights, and what the right sequencing looks like for different content types and risk levels
  • Design approval workflows that move fast without cutting corners.  The goal is fewer revision cycles.
  • Develop the judgment and relationships to pre-align key stakeholders before formal review so approvals confirm, not derail.
  • Frame content for internal audiences as skillfully as for external ones.  Know how to present creative work in a way that earns confidence and moves decisions forward
  • Serve as the agency’s guide through Link’s internal process; protect them from last-minute redirects by front-loading alignment.

Who you are

Strong candidates will have depth on both sides of brand and channel expertise

Brand Experience (non-negotiable)

  • 7 years of experience that includes meaningful time working in or alongside brand strategy. You've been in the room where brand positioning decisions get made and have developed real opinions about what brands stand for and why
  • You've stewarded a brand voice across contexts, partners, and platforms, including directing external partners to express it faithfully
  • You can evaluate creative work against a brand standard with precision, not just instinct and give feedback that actually improves the work
  • You understand how organic social contributes to brand health over time and can make that case internally

Channel Expertise (non-negotiable)

  • Deep platform literacy across Instagram, TikTok, X; you know each platform's mechanics, audience behavior, and content dynamics well enough to evaluate work made for them
  • You've owned or directed organic social at a channel level and understand what genuinely native content looks like versus content that was adapted and shows it
  • Strong short-form video instincts: you can evaluate, redirect, and improve video concepts and executions with confidence
  • Analytical fluency: you can read performance data, ask good questions about it, and use it to drive better creative decisions

Agency & Creative Direction Experience (critical for this role)

  • You've managed an agency or external creative partner in a senior capacity — you know how to write a brief that unlocks good work, run a review that improves it, and hold a partner accountable without micromanaging
  • You've navigated the dynamic of an agency bringing ideas to an internal team: you know when to push back, when to build on, when to redirect entirely, and how to do all of that in a way that keeps the partnership productive
  • Your feedback makes work better — you can articulate what's wrong and point toward what's right with enough specificity to be useful

Also Required

  • Experience working with Legal/Compliance on regulated or high-scrutiny content
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator, particularly with Brand, Comms, and Product Marketing
  • Excellent writer: briefs, feedback,Demonstrated ability to navigate complex internal approval processes.  You’ve worked in environments with multiple stakeholders (Legal, Brand, Comms, leadership) and know how to build the relationships and workflows that get good work approved without grinding to a halt.

  • Social listening platform fluency (Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Sprout Social, or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with AI content tools for evaluating, prompting, and directing AI-assisted production from an agency
  • Prior experience at a fintech, payments, or consumer brand
  • Experience marketing to early-adopter audiences and/or in the agentic technology space.
