Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Introduction

DDS IT is looking for an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to help design, build, and continuously improve highly reliable, secure, and scalable cloud platforms across both DDS IT and customer environments.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in evolving our cloud and platform engineering capability from traditional reactive operations to proactive reliability engineering and platform excellence. You’ll work across managed services, project delivery, and cloud transformation initiatives, helping shape how we build resilient, automated, and modern platforms.

Description

What You’ll Be Doing

As a senior technical leader, you’ll combine strong engineering capability with a reliability-first mindset, helping improve system performance, reduce operational overhead, and enable better outcomes for both customers and the business.

You’ll play a key role in designing and evolving cloud platforms while improving reliability, automation, and operational excellence across DDS IT and customer environments. Your work will focus on:

• Designing and maintaining scalable cloud platforms across Azure and AWS
• Driving automation and Infrastructure as Code practices
• Leading incident response, reliability improvements, and root cause analysis
• Building observability and monitoring capabilities
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring across engineering teams

You’ll also help reduce operational complexity through reusable platform capabilities and automation, ensuring systems remain secure, resilient, and aligned to customer and business needs.

Skills And Experiences

About You

You’re a senior engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and building platforms that are reliable, secure, and scalable. You bring strong cloud engineering experience and a passion for improving systems through automation, standardisation, and modern engineering practices.

You will ideally bring:

• Strong Azure experience with exposure to AWS
• Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience
• Kubernetes and container platform knowledge
• Scripting capability across PowerShell, Python, or Bash
• Strong understanding of observability, networking, and security principles

Experience within enterprise, consulting, or managed services environments will be highly valued.
