About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga 1 x Permanent Role – Based in our Albany offce We have a permanent Senior Support Officer position available, based in our Albany office due to a promotion. This role has flexibility to support operations across North and West Auckland | Tāmaki Makaurau. A full valid driver’s license (Restricted License considered) is essential for managing fleet vehicle responsibilities. As a Senior Support Officer, you will report to the Business Support Manager and oversee a range of organisational functions, including correspondence, payroll, financial management, data management, document production and digital storage, corporate services, and scheduling. Your expertise will ensure smooth operations and support the organisations broader objectives. This role encompasses a diverse set of responsibilities, requiring strong organisational skills and attention to detail. You will manage financial processes, utilise Microsoft applications for data management and reporting, and coordinate fleet vehicle logistics to support team mobility, including SharePoint creation and management. Your ability to handle multiple systems and tasks efficiently, even during busy periods, will be critical to maintaining operational continuity. By delivering high-quality organisational support, you will enable our teams to focus on achieving impactful outcomes for ākonga. Salary range: $60,879 - $72,999 per annum + KiwiSaver. To be successful in the role you will have: * Experience working in high volume setting and delivering to organisational standards. * Passion for knowledge, ability to learn new systems, databases, processes and comfortable working in a varying environment. * Well-developed clear communication skills, both oral and written. * Advanced user of Microsoft suite, power apps and other reporting tools. * Experience building exceptional working relationships with customers. * Experience working with others across an organisation or team to provide support and resolve issues in a pro-active and professional manner. * Experience providing hgh quality, efficient organisational support to managers and staff. * The ability to be an adaptable and reliable team player, able to work in varying conditions and with virtual cross functional teams. * Great time management with an ability to prioritise work and work towards timelines. * Comfort in working in a tikanga/kaupapa Māori environment. * An interest in or some knowledge of the Treaty of Waitangi and how it relates to our work. * The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct. About our group and team | Mātau rōpū ake The Education Services Group provides well-designed, integrated education services that support the impactful and effective operation of education settings to support student achievement and participation. The services help to remove barriers to participation and learning and provide regulatory advice, support and oversight to early learning providers, schools and kura. The Group has three key priorities for Education Services: * Practice & Guidance: Managing practice and guidance to improve national coordination and consistency, whilst enabling regional autonomy for education service delivery. * Integration & Delivery: Providing education support directly to education settings via integrated regional and national services. This includes intervening when necessary to ensure a high standard of operation to support student outcomes and owning key stakeholder relationships to support schooling improvement and stronger outcomes for learners. * Monitoring & Improvement: Monitoring and advising on improvements to the effectiveness, efficiency and equity of services for achievement and progression, and attendance and participation. This includes monitoring education provider performance against regulations and intervening as required. Our Business Support team provides support to the Education and Learning Support teams in Auckland. We work closely with families, schools, and early learning services to help achieve positive outcomes for learners.
