Litigation Lawyer (3-7 Years PQE) | Step Up & Take the Lead

Are you an experienced litigator hitting a glass ceiling, or looking for a practice where you can truly run your own files without someone looking over your shoulder?

We are partnering with a highly regarded, well-established law firm that offers a refreshing alternative to the typical daily grind. If you are looking for a firm where your skills are valued, your work makes a tangible impact, and the partnership genuinely has your back, this is the move you’ve been waiting for.

About Our Client

Our client is a forward-thinking, mid-sized firm known for delivering exceptional legal services across a diverse range of practice areas. What sets them apart in the market is their culture: they have successfully built an environment where a commitment to top-tier client success is matched by a genuine passion for staff well-being, collaboration, and career development.

The Opportunity

Based in their bustling city office, the Litigation Team is looking for a motivated Senior Litigator ready to take the next major step in their career.

This isn't a role where you'll be stuck doing background research for someone else's case. You will take the lead on your own files, act as the primary trusted advisor to your clients, and plan and conduct your own hearings and trials. You will gain comprehensive, hands-on experience across a broad spectrum of civil litigation, including contractual disputes, insolvency, property, construction, defamation, and negligence claims.

Why make the move?
  • True Autonomy: Manage your files day-to-day, from first instruction through to final resolution.
  • Front-Line Advocacy: Regular opportunities to conduct court and tribunal proceedings, and lead mediations and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).
  • Strategic Client Engagement: Deal directly with clients, opposing counsel, and regulatory bodies to negotiate settlements and drive commercial outcomes.
  • Leadership & Mentoring: Step into a senior position where you can shape the team culture by guiding and mentoring junior lawyers.
  • Clear Progression: This firm promotes on merit, not just time served. There is a very real, transparent pathway for career advancement for the right candidate.
Who You Will Learn From

At the 3-7 year mark, who you work with is just as important as what you do. You will be collaborating directly with highly experienced Partners who are invested in your success, including:
  • A Strategic Commercial Litigation Partner: A seasoned litigator with extensive knowledge across contract and property disputes, securities enforcement, and construction law. With a background in top-level executive and strategic leadership before their legal career, this partner brings unparalleled discipline to their practice and is a formidable advocate in the District Court, High Court, and Court of Appeal.
  • A Pragmatic Dispute Resolution Partner: Known for cutting through the noise to deliver workable, commercial solutions. Specializing in construction, employment, trust, and shareholder disputes, they bring a uniquely diverse background, from international M&A in London to specialist in-house advocacy. They are a master of negotiation, preferring to secure strategic settlements rather than go to court whenever appropriate.
What You Bring to the Table

To thrive in this role, you will be a confident, proactive, and commercially minded practitioner. We are looking for:
  • 3-7 Years’ PQE: in general civil litigation.
  • In-Court Experience: Proven experience in contested hearings and trials, ideally as lead or sole counsel, with a solid track record in both the District and High Courts.
  • Client-Centric Approach: Exceptional communication skills and a deep commitment to client care and matter management.
  • Leadership Drive: A natural team player with the desire and ability to mentor junior staff.
Let's Talk

If you are an experienced litigation professional who thrives on intellectually stimulating work and is ready to take ownership of your career, we want to hear from you.
