About Wakefield Hospital
Wakefield Hospital is entering an exciting new chapter following the opening of our state-of-the-art hospital facility. We're seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our senior leadership team and play a key role in shaping the future performance, culture and growth of the hospital.
This is a highly visible leadership role with responsibility for multiple operational functions including the Specialist Centre, Reception and Administration teams, Housekeeping, and Support Services.
We're looking for a commercially astute leader who can inspire teams, build accountability, improve performance and create a culture where people thrive.
Description
The Role
Reporting as part of the hospital leadership team, you'll be responsible for leading operational excellence across several critical service areas, ensuring they deliver exceptional service, strong commercial outcomes and an outstanding patient experience.
You will:
- Lead and develop multiple operational teams
- Drive a high-performance culture built on accountability and service excellence
- Improve operational effectiveness and service delivery
- Develop and implement service strategies aligned to hospital objectives
- Manage key commercial and service contracts
- Strengthen stakeholder relationships across the healthcare sector
- Drive financial performance, efficiency and sustainable growth
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives
- Support the hospital's long-term strategic direction
Skills And Experiences
About you
You'll be an experienced operational leader with a strong track record of leading diverse teams, driving performance and delivering results.
You will bring:
- Proven success leading diverse operational teams
- Strong commercial acumen and business management experience
- Demonstrated ability to drive culture and performance improvement
- Experience managing budgets, contracts and operational outcomes
- Exceptional people leadership and coaching capability
- Confidence leading change in complex environments
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach
- Tertiary qualification in business, healthcare management or a related discipline
