Fuel Service Technician
We are looking for an experienced Fuel Service Technician to join our Christchurch team.This is a varied, hands-on role working on fuel tankers, pumping systems and specialist equipment. You'll be responsible for servicing, fault-finding, repairs and preventative maintenance while ensuring equipment is operating safely and efficiently.No two days are the same. You'll work across a range of mechanical systems, diagnose issues, carry out repairs and help keep customers' equipment running reliably.
What you'll be doing
- Service, repair and maintain fuel tankers and associated equipment.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and inspections.
- Diagnose faults and complete mechanical repairs.
- Work on hydraulic, pneumatic and pumping systems.
- Complete job records and maintain accurate documentation.
- Assist with stock management and ordering parts when required.
- Communicate with customers and provide a high level of service.
- Maintain a strong focus on health and safety.
What we're looking for
- Trade qualification or strong mechanical background.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical equipment.
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with pneumatic systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple jobs.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to quality workmanship and customer service.
