Technical Service Engineer - 1 year Contract

**JOB DESCRIPTION - Technical Service Engineer (1-Year Contract)** ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Equipment Maintenance and Repair: _Execute depot repairs and iNet SaaS exchanges for gas detection_ _systems, ensuring strict compliance with product specifications._ On-Site Services and Equipment Commissioning: _Conduct on-site surveys, training, demonstrations, and_ _commissioning of portable gas detection equipment. This includes sensor calibration, docking station_ _installation, and other connected safety implementations._ Cross-Department Collaboration: _Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, and CSRM_ _departments to align on customer needs, escalate critical issues, and drive their resolution._ Process Optimization and Implementation: _Implement and optimize customer onboarding, training, and_ _support processes in line with global standards and regional requirements._ Sales Opportunity Identification: _Identify and act upon upsell and cross-sell opportunities through in-depth_ _customer engagement and value-based conversations._ Company Representation: _Represent Industrial Scientific at industry events, trade shows, and customer_ _visits to strengthen customer relationships and enhance brand presence._ EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE / WORK EXPERIENCE Educational Background: _A Polytechnic Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical,_ _Electrical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing) is strongly preferred._ _Alternative Qualifications: Candidates with ITE or other technical certifications may also be considered if_ _they have strong relevant experience. A bachelor's degree in a related technical field is advantageous but_ _not mandatory._ Work Experience: _A minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in service, repair, technical support,_ _production, or field service roles is required, with preference given to those with experience in an industrial_ _or high-tech/hardware/portable device environment._ Technical Skills: _Familiarity with ERP systems, technical documentation, and root cause analysis tools is_ _essential.
