Foodstuffs Account Manager & Sales Support

Based in Auckland, this role sits within our Personal Care New Zealand team and plays a key part in delivering strong customer partnerships and commercial outcomes across one of our most important retail customers.

About the Role:
This dynamic, dual-focused role combines 50% account management with 50% sales and operational support. You will partner closely with Foodstuffs North Island (FSNI) to drive commercial success, while also supporting Foodstuffs South Island (FSSI) through Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and sales operations. It’s an opportunity to build strategic relationships, influence business performance, and contribute to end-to-end customer excellence.

What You Will Do:

  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with FSNI stakeholders
  • Support joint business planning, category reviews, and customer initiatives
  • Develop and manage customer plans, forecasts, and promotional activity
  • Monitor performance, identify risks and opportunities, and deliver actionable insights
  • Analyse market and sales data to inform decision-making and internal reporting
  • Communicate key updates, initiatives, and performance insights across teams
  • Manage daily VMI orders for FSSI and ensure seamless supply chain coordination
  • Partner with internal teams (logistics, finance, marketing) to optimise service levels
  • Support invoicing, accrual processes, and aged debtor management for FSSI

Who You Are:
You’re a commercially minded and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment. You bring both analytical strength and relationship-building capability to drive results.

  • Minimum 2 years in Account Management, preferably in FMCG
  • Proven experience in customer planning, negotiation, and data analysis
  • Strong commercial acumen and customer focus
  • Confident working with data, insights, and performance reporting tools
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • High energy, professional presence, with resilience and composure under pressure
