Are you a qualified electrician looking to develop specialist skills in a unique and growing field? Join Downer Dunedin as a Traffic Signals & ITS Electrician and play a key role in keeping our communities moving safely and efficiently.

This role is primarily focused on the installation, maintenance, and fault-finding of traffic signal systems and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) across the Dunedin region. While previous traffic signals experience is advantageous, it is not essential. We will provide comprehensive training and support to help you develop into a subject matter expert within this specialist area.

Key Responsibilities:

Traffic Signals & ITS Maintenance: Install, maintain, repair and upgrade traffic signal systems, ITS equipment, and associated communications infrastructure to ensure reliable network performance.

Troubleshooting & Fault Finding: Diagnose and resolve electrical, electronic, and system faults, providing efficient solutions to minimise downtime and maintain network safety.

Compliance: Ensure all work is completed in accordance with industry standards, safety regulations, and contractual requirements.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and compliance documentation.

Collaboration: Work closely with team members, subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes and support operational excellence.
