About the Role
This is a varied, practical role responsible for maintaining the safety, presentation, and performance of facilities, plant, and equipment across the Tekapo Springs site.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting the upkeep of pools, buildings, plant, and infrastructure
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-presented environment for guests
- Operating and caring for maintenance equipment, machinery, and vehicles
- Supporting contractors and assisting with maintenance projects
- Contributing to health & safety practices and hazard management

- Snow grooming and snow-making activities
- Ice rink resurfacing (Zamboni operation!)
- Ice and snow clearing to ensure safe access across the site
About You
We’re looking for someone well-versed in the tourism or visitor attractions sector, ideally with exposure to aquatic, snow, or ice-based facilities.
You will bring:
- 2–3 years’ experience in maintenance, facilities, or plant operations
- Practical, hands-on skills across a range of tools and equipment
- A strong commitment to health & safety
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A proactive, problem-solving approach
- Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster and respond to callouts when required
Required:
- Full driver's licence
- Wheels, Tracks and Rollers and/or Forks endorsement
Desirable:
- Experience in pools, snow, or ice rink environments
- Trade-based or relevant technical skills
Why Join Tekapo Springs?
- Work in a unique tourism environment in the Mackenzie Region
- Enjoy variety across seasons and departments
- Be part of a team focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement
- Contribute to an experience enjoyed by visitors from around the world
