Requirements:
- This role follows a hybrid working model, requiring 2–3 days per week in the Cape Town office.
- 3+ years of experience in machine learning, deep learning, or applied AI research
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX)
- Familiarity with model training, evaluation, and deployment
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and statistics
Nice to have:
- Experience with large-scale models (LLMs, diffusion models, or similar)
- Familiarity with distributed training and cloud compute (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Publications or contributions to open-source AI projects
