
Senior Sales Engineer (Analytical Instrumentation)

Job SummaryThis role offers a strong platform for candidates looking to expand beyond traditional lab sales into a broader regional and solution‑driven role, with opportunities to shape business direction and build long‑term customer relationships.
This role focuses on solutions commonly used in:
- Environmental and water analysis
- Chemical and materials analysis
- Research laboratories and academic institutions
- Industrial quality control and process monitoring
- Drive sales of analytical instrumentation solutions (e.g., chromatography, spectroscopy, and sample preparation systems)
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across government labs, research institutes, and industrial customers
- Engage customers on technical requirements and propose suitable solutions
- Manage full sales cycle: prospecting, presentation, quotation, negotiation, and closing
- Build strong relationships with key accounts (e.g., research institutes, universities, environmental agencies)
- Work closely with principals and internal teams for technical and commercial support
- Support exhibitions, technical seminars, and product demonstrations
- Provide market insights and analysis of competitors
- Diploma / Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or related discipline
- Sales Engineer: 2–5 years of relevant experience
- Senior Sales: 5–10+ years’ experience in analytical or laboratory equipment sales
- Familiarity with techniques such as:
- Ion Chromatography (IC)
- Gas Chromatography / Mass Spectrometry (GC‑MS)
- Liquid Chromatography / Mass Spectrometry (LC‑MS)
- Other analytical or lab instrumentation
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to engage both technical users and procurement stakeholders
- Self‑motivated, independent, and results‑driven
- Willingness to travel regionally when required
