Our clients are seeking reliable and hardworking Machine Operators to join busy manufacturing and production environments across Hawke's Bay.
This position is ideal for candidates with mechanical aptitude who enjoy hands-on work, operating production machinery, and being part of a fast-paced team environment.
About the Role
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring manufacturing equipment, ensuring production targets and quality standards are achieved while maintaining a safe working environment.
The role may also involve general labouring duties, machine setup, quality checks, and assisting with production processes as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating manufacturing and production machinery
- Monitoring machine performance and output
- Conducting basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting
- Performing Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) checks
- General labouring and manual handling tasks
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Following health and safety procedures
- Recording production data and completing relevant paperwork
- Assisting with production and warehouse activities as required
What We're Looking For
- Previous machine operating experience within a manufacturing, production, or factory environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour when required
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong focus on workplace health and safety
Highly Advantageous
- Forklift licence with current OSH certification and F endorsement
- Team Leader, Supervisor, or Production Management experience
- Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) experience
- Experience working within food manufacturing, packaging, timber, engineering, plastics, or general production environments
- First Aid certification
