Yarrow is a brand new restaurant opening at The Willowbury, our stunning new retirement village in West Malling. Designed to be a destination for residents, their families and the local community, Yarrow offers high quality dining in a beautiful setting with a focus on seasonal menus, exceptional service and memorable experiences.
We're looking for a talented Sous Chef to join our kitchen team on a full time, permanent basis (37.5 hours per week - some evenings and weekends included)
Working alongside the Head Chef, you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding food, maintaining high kitchen standards and helping to create a welcoming dining experience for every guest.

What you'll be doing
- Supporting the Head Chef with the day to day running of the kitchen.
- Preparing and delivering high quality, freshly cooked dishes to an exceptional standard.
- Helping to develop seasonal menus that balance creativity, nutrition and quality.
- Supervising and supporting the kitchen team, ensuring excellent teamwork and service.
- Maintaining food safety, hygiene and health and safety standards at all times.
- Managing stock, ordering ingredients and helping to minimise waste.
- Ensuring every dish is presented beautifully and consistently.
- Working closely with colleagues to deliver an outstanding dining experience for residents, visitors and the wider community.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar supervisory kitchen role.
- A passion for producing high quality, fresh food.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop others.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to perform well in a busy kitchen.
- A good understanding of food safety, HACCP and health and safety legislation.
- A positive, hands on approach with great attention to detail.
- A team player who takes pride in delivering exceptional food and service.
