- Encourage inquiry, creativity, collaboration and real-world problem-solving
- Support students as they transition into specialist secondary subjects
- Work closely with campus staff and teachers across the wider school network
- Build positive relationships with students, parents and the wider school community
About You
You will be a New Zealand-registered teacher with current certification and the right to work in New Zealand.
You will also bring:
- Recent experience teaching Years 7-8 or similar within the New Zealand Curriculum
- A calm, structured and student-focused teaching style
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
- Confidence using technology to support teaching and learning
- A genuine interest in developing independent and resilient learners
- A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to the wider school community
What's on Offer
- Salary above the state school scale
- Small classes with motivated and respectful students
- Supportive leadership and a collaborative teaching team
- Modern resources and a technology-enabled learning environment
- Ongoing professional development and career growth opportunities
- Health insurance
- A permanent opportunity in Timaru with an excellent South Canterbury lifestyle
