We're on the hunt for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join a busy Christchurch-based operation servicing and maintaining a diverse fleet of heavy vehicles and equipment. You'll work on everything from trucks and trailers through to forklifts, swing lifts, Utes, and light vehicles.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys fault-finding, solving problems, and taking pride in keeping equipment running safely and efficiently.
What you'll be doing
• Servicing and maintaining heavy diesel vehicles and fleet equipment.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Repairing engines, transmissions, drivelines, brakes, suspension, and clutch systems.
• Carrying out compliance-related work for COF and WOF requirements.
• Responding to breakdowns and completing repairs to minimise downtime.
•Working closely with a supportive workshop team to keep operations moving.
What we're looking for
•Trade qualified Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Automotive Technician, or equivalent.
• 2+ years' experience working on heavy diesel machinery or vehicles.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
• A proactive approach to health and safety.
• Reliable, team-focused, and takes pride in quality workmanship.
• Experience with diagnostic software and tools would be advantageous.

Additional Info:
