About the role
We’re looking for permanent part-time School Bus Drivers to join our team in Oamaru, providing safe, reliable, and friendly transport services for students in the community. This role involves operating scheduled school routes, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of passengers, and delivering a high standard of customer service while maintaining strict safety practices. School Bus Drivers play an important role in helping students travel safely and keeping communities connected every day.
Key responsibilities
- Safely transport school children, vulnerable passengers, or members of the public while maintaining a high standard of care
- Build positive relationships with schools, caregivers, and communities
- Demonstrate patience, professionalism, and sound judgement in managing passenger behaviour and challenging situations
- Operate routes efficiently while adapting to changing traffic, weather, and operational conditions
