Indirect Procurement Manager
The Role
Fisher & Paykel is an iconic New Zealand brand, a global company with a strong local heritage. Our origins inspire our culture of curiosity and passion to develop solutions designed around people - these are some of the core elements that make us unique.
We are driven by our values of being trusted, sustainably minded, innovative, generous, and curious. As a team we take a collaborative approach and have a working environment where all ideas are heard, evaluated, and tested against our leading goal - to be the world's most human-centred appliance brand.
Where you'll make your mark
This is an opportunity to lead one of the most strategically important procurement portfolios across our global business. Reporting to the EVP Global Supply Chain, Procurement & Manufacturing, you will shape the strategy for more than NZ$400 million of annual indirect spend while partnering with senior leaders across Product Development, Manufacturing, IT, Finance, Marketing, Sales and our global supplier network.
Success in this role is about far more than negotiating contracts. You'll develop and execute global category strategies, build strong supplier partnerships, unlock value through commercial innovation, and help ensure our procurement function enables Fisher & Paykel's long-term growth and sustainability ambitions.
Leading a high-performing global team, you'll foster a culture of accountability, capability development and continuous improvement. You'll also play a key role in driving cost optimisation, strengthening supplier performance, supporting our decarbonisation objectives, and ensuring procurement remains a trusted strategic partner to the wider business.
Who are you?
You're an experienced procurement leader who thrives in complex global environments and enjoys balancing strategy with execution. You understand that exceptional procurement is about creating long-term business value through strong relationships, commercial insight and disciplined execution.
You bring a collaborative leadership style and naturally influence across diverse stakeholder groups. Comfortable operating at executive level while remaining connected to your team, you enjoy solving complex commercial challenges, identifying opportunities others miss, and building high-performing teams that consistently deliver results.
Most importantly, you think beyond procurement. You understand the broader commercial picture and can align sourcing, supplier strategy and category management to support business performance, innovation and sustainable growth.
You'll bring
- Significant experience leading procurement within a large global organisation, ideally across multiple indirect categories.
- Demonstrated success developing and executing category strategies that deliver measurable commercial outcomes.
- Strong commercial, financial and analytical capability, with experience in contract negotiation, supplier relationship management and business case development.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to coach, develop and inspire high-performing teams. Confidence partnering with senior stakeholders across multiple business functions and influencing strategic decisions.
- A pragmatic, data-driven approach, combined with sound judgement, curiosity and the ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.
What we offer
This is an opportunity to apply your engineering expertise where it truly matters.
We offer flexibility through our hybrid working model, a modern new Penrose, Auckland headquarters.
Offering a competitive salary, you'll have access to real development pathways and meaningful progression opportunities. As part of our team, you'll also enjoy generous discounts on Fisher & Paykel and Haier products, life and disability insurance, subsidised medical cover, access to our industry-leading Whānau/Family leave policy, a subsidised on-site café, and complimentary parking when you're in the office.
All of this, supported by exceptional leadership and the credibility of a world-class heritage brand — one that continues to be recognised as one of New Zealand's most Trusted Brands, year after year.
