About the Opportunity

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a well-established diagnostic imaging provider delivering advanced molecular imaging services across Auckland.

This opportunity offers exposure to both Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging within a progressive and technology-focused environment. You will work alongside experienced specialists and multidisciplinary teams, contributing to high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic services while benefiting from ongoing professional development and scope expansion opportunities.

The role is predominantly Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm, supporting an excellent work-life balance. Occasional weekend work may be required for specialised procedures, with advance notice provided.

In addition to this Auckland-based opportunity, we are currently recruiting Nuclear Medicine Technologists, MRI Technologists, Sonographers, and Medical Imaging Technologists for a range of providers across New Zealand, including Auckland, Whangārei, Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua, Taupō, Wellington, and Christchurch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging procedures to a high clinical standard
  • Safely prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with established protocols
  • Operate and maintain specialised imaging equipment to ensure optimal diagnostic outcomes
  • Support patients throughout their imaging journey, providing clear communication and compassionate care
  • Collaborate with Radiologists, Nuclear Medicine Physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations and quality assurance standards
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and procedural records
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement and service development initiatives

About You

  • Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board (MRTB)
  • Current Annual Practising Certificate
  • Experience in Nuclear Medicine and/or PET imaging
  • Interest in expanding into hybrid imaging modalities, including CT, advantageous
  • Strong technical knowledge of molecular imaging procedures and radiopharmaceutical administration
  • Excellent communication and patient engagement skills
  • Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and multiple clinical sites
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and clinical excellence
