As a Senior Advisor Communications (Multimedia), you will play a key role in delivering high-quality written, video and photographic content that informs, engages and builds trust with communities across Aotearoa. Working closely with subject matter experts, leaders, communications colleagues and the team videographer, you will create and refine compelling content for a range of Police communications channels. You will provide editorial oversight, quality assurance and communications support, ensuring content is clear, accurate, audience-focused and aligned with Police values, brand standards and organisational priorities. To be successful in the role you will: * Have excellent written and communication skills * Have appropriate experience in the relevant field of speciality media or communications * Deliver high standards of service to all stakeholders in a professional and timely manner * Be politically aware with sound understanding of government and public sector operating environments * Have high levels of discretion and professional credibility * Understand media law, privacy, OIA principles and reputational risk * Understand contemporary digital, social and traditional media environments Whakaritenga motuhake | Special requirements * Demonstratable communications experience, particularly working in large complex organisations * Demonstratable specialist communications content experience with demonstrated expertise in editorial leadership, content strategy or multimedia production. * Relevant Bachelors degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Media Studies or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
