CHEF WANTED – Café 1
Café 1 is seeking a motivated and experienced Chef to join our dynamic team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about creating high-quality meals, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering an outstanding dining experience.
About the Role
This is a full-time, permanent position where you will be responsible for:
- Preparing and cooking a range of café-style breakfast, lunch and light dinner meals.
- Assisting with menu planning and seasonal menu development.
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency.
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering and inventory control.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Supervising and supporting junior kitchen staff where required.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A relevant commercial cookery qualification or equivalent industry experience.
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience as a Chef.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen.
- A positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
