KG Talent is recruiting on behalf of a leading Australian manufacturer of steel building products for an experienced and hands-on Production Supervisor based in Toowoomba.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality, safety, and customer service. You'll play a key leadership role, overseeing daily production operations and leading a team to deliver outstanding operational performance.
About the Role
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the production facility, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work closely with production, warehouse, dispatch, and customer service teams to meet production schedules and customer delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the production team to achieve daily production targets
- Coordinate production schedules to ensure customer orders are delivered on time
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards
- Monitor product quality and maintain high manufacturing standards
- Allocate labour and resources to maximise productivity and operational efficiency
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes
- Work closely with the maintenance team to minimise equipment downtime
- Monitor production performance and report on key operational KPIs
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe manufacturing environment
- Collaborate with warehouse, dispatch, and customer service teams to support business outcomes
About You
You're an experienced manufacturing leader who enjoys leading from the front, developing people, and driving continuous improvement.
You'll bring:
- Previous experience as a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Team Leader, or similar
- Strong production scheduling and operational planning experience
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- A genuine commitment to workplace health and safety
- Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities Experience coordinating production schedules and managing workflow
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships
- A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on quality, efficiency, and customer outcomes
