Carpenter
Key Responsibilities
Interpret architectural drawings, specifications and construction plans.
Measure, mark, cut and assemble timber and other building materials.
Construct and install wall frames, roof frames, flooring systems, staircases and structural frameworks.
Install doors, windows, skirting boards, architraves, cladding, cabinetry and internal fit-outs.
Perform formwork, concreting preparation and general structural carpentry.
Carry out renovation, extension and maintenance work on residential and commercial buildings.
Install external decking, pergolas, fencing and outdoor structures where required.
Operate hand tools, power tools and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
Ensure all work complies with the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards and workplace health and safety legislation.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised worksite.
Liaise professionally with supervisors, clients, subcontractors and fellow team members.
Job summary
As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of carpentry and construction tasks on residential projects.
