
Maintenance Operations Centre Coordinator (Christchurch)
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a newly established Maintenance Operations Centre (MOC), which is responsible for processing high volumes of maintenance requests to ensure Kāinga Ora homes are well maintained, safe and fit for purpose.
As a MOC Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in keeping work flowing smoothly through a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You’ll oversee shared inboxes, validate and allocate requests, and coordinate administrative workflows to ensure maintenance activities are processed accurately and on time.
Working closely with the MOC leadership team, operators, contractors and other internal teams, you’ll help resolve queries, manage escalations, and maintain strong communication across the system. You’ll also support critical transition activities as new processes and ways of working are embedded.
A strong focus of the role is maintaining consistency and quality—ensuring service requests, extensions of time, and other maintenance processes are handled in line with agreed frameworks and standard operating procedures. You’ll contribute to reporting, dashboards and visual management tools, providing insights to improve workflow and performance.
This is an on-site office based role, Monday to Friday, enabling real-time collaboration, faster decision-making and a highly connected team environment.

You will demonstrate: * Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure administrative or operational environment * Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines * Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately analyse, manage and report on large volumes of information * Sound problem-solving and risk management skills, including making effective decisions urgent situations * Strong written communication skills, with experience preparing reports, presentations, and other business documents. * Ability to build positive relationships, influence others, and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels. * Proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements, supported by effective verbal communication and teamwork skills. * Experience in maintenance, operations or service delivery environments will be beneficial, but not essential.
