About Whāraurau | Mō mātou
Whāraurau is a national, government funded workforce development centre for those working in infant, child and youth mental health and addiction services across the spectrum of care (primary, NGO, Kaupapa Māori and Te Whatu Ora services).
Whāraurau is part of the Wise Charitable Trust which, together with its charitable subsidiary companies, is known as the Wise Group. Whāraurau focuses on workforce development for the mental health and wellbeing of infants, children and youth and those who care for them. The service provides national, regional and local training, across sector leadership, and trauma informed approaches. There are many integrated workforce activities and Whāraurau works alongside three other Te Whatu Ora funded mental health and addiction workforce development centres.
Whāraurau works across the spectrum of mental health care (primary, NGO, kaupapa Māori and Te Whatu Ora services) and across child service sectors (i.e., Education, Oranga Tamariki, etc.), and the highly skilled staff are multidisciplinary and multicultural.

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
We’re looking for a highly organised and adaptable Project Support Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of our mahi.
In this fixed-term opportunity, you’ll provide event coordination for online and in-person events in collaboration with the delivery team. You’ll also contribute to the Wise Group finances process for event delivery and provide feedback on internal processes to help ensure they continue to meet organisational needs.
You will assist with the operational administration involved in our work as delegated by the Office Manager. This is an opportunity to contribute your strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and proactive approach in a collaborative environment.
This is a fixed-term, full-time role working Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm until 6 August 2027.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field (preferred).
- Experience in planning and coordinating events.
- Experience using CRM and accounting platforms.
- Tech savviness, with confidence using technology and new systems.
- A mature, organised, and calm approach, with excellent attention to detail.
- A culturally sensitive and inclusive approach.
