SHIFT PATTERN: 4 off, 4 off 42 hours per week

PAY RATE: £14.51 per hour

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

Supporting the site as a security officer & control room duties to ensure safety of customers, buildings and personnel. 

To support the operation of the building and ensuring exceptional service is provided and ensure that all assigned tasks are completed in a professional and timely manner adhering to all relevant legislation. 

 

Duties and responsibilities: 

  • Operationally support in delivery of the agreed service level. 
  • Assist the team by fostering team spirit and co-operation, the encourage open expression of differing ideas and opinions and ensuring resolution. 
  • Support in delivery of SOP’s and maintenance of appropriate documentation sets across the security Team.  
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with all Health & Safety legislation. 
  • Promote a secure and safe working environment on site through the implementation and continuous improvement of agreed Health and Safety actions 
  • Complete the required Incident reports in the event of an incident, focusing on quality and timely reporting. 
  • Ensure that any complaints are dealt with in a professional and timely manner. 
  • To establish and maintain satisfactory relationships with individuals at all levels within the Company and the Client organisation. 
  • Ensure that all equipment provided to assist security is fully operational with any issues reported. 
  • Client liaison, working closely with the Centre Management Team and Security Supervisor. 
  • Other day-to-day responsibilities as dictated by circumstances and the needs of the business and client. 

Person Specification: 

•  Has a one team approach 

•  Able to take ownership of all situations to ensure tasks are completed 

•  Flexible approach to change 

 

Essential: 

•  Experience of working within the Security Industry 

•  Holds SIA Security Licence – SG or DS 

•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

•  Ability to remain calm under pressure. 

•  Adaptable and flexible in approach to work required. 

•  Willingness and ability to work effectively within a team. 

•  Proactive approach to learning in the role and identifying own training needs as appropriate. 

•  Can “do” attitude 

•  Excellent observational skills
