
Test Engineer (Night Shift)
Side is looking for a dedicated Test Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring the quality of our gaming products during nighttime operations. You will work closely with the development and QA teams to maintain rigorous testing standards and timely bug reporting.
The position requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and effectively during non-standard hours. This role is ideal for candidates who are comfortable working night shifts and contributing to continuous product improvement.
Job Description
- Execute functional, regression, and exploratory testing for game features across mobile platforms
- Create, execute, and maintain test cases and test checklists as per project requirements
- Identify, log, and track defects with clear reproduction steps to support efficient resolution
- Validate gameplay mechanics, UI/UX, performance, and overall player experience
- Follow defined QA processes, test guidelines, and documentation standards
- Support QA activities within the assigned pod by following defined processes and priorities
- Adhere to established QA standards and best practices
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Collaborate closely with developers, and QA team members to ensure high‑quality deliverables
Skills & Experience Required
- Hands‑on experience playing a variety of games, especially mobile games
- Experience of 1.5 to 3 years in Game Testing (Functional)
- Exposure to AR games or AR‑based features is a plus
- Good understanding of Android and iOS platforms
- Strong communication skills with good attention to detail
- Well organized, with good time management and task ownership skills
- Willing to work overtime on weekdays or weekends based on project needs
- Willingness to learn, take feedback, and adapt in a fast paced environment
- Comfortable working in an Agile setup and handling multiple tasks
- Knowledge of QA methodologies and game development pipelines
- Experience using defect and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar
- Strong interest in gaming with a good understanding of game mechanics and player experience
- Flexible to work in shift timings: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM or 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM
