About the role - Kōrero mō te tūranga The Digital Content Adviser plays a key role in managing and growing the Ministry's digital presence. You'll work with colleagues in Wellington and around the world to create, publish and optimise content across our digital channels, helping ensure our communications are timely, engaging and aligned with the Ministry's priorities. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys turning complex information into clear, accessible content and who understands how digital channels can be used to reach different audiences. You'll provide advice on digital content and channel management, support campaigns, help maintain content quality, and contribute to the Ministry's digital capability. You will: * Coordinate the development and publishing of content across the Ministry's digital channels. * Advise on the effective use of social media and other digital communications channels. * Create, edit and publish digital content aligned with channel strategies and campaign objectives. * Support communications advisers, content creators and offshore Posts to deliver high-quality digital communications. * Train and support Ministry staff using digital communications channels. * Monitor channel performance and contribute ideas to improve engagement and reach. * Lead moderation activities across Ministry channels, ensuring content complies with MFAT's digital terms of use. * Provide quality assurance, content testing and support for channel enhancements and platform changes. * Participate in an after-hours duty as required. For more detail you can view a copy of the position description here The full salary range for this role is $79,604 to $93,652 total remuneration, inclusive of our KiwiSaver employer contribution. Who are we looking for? - Mā‎ wai te mahi nei? We'd like to hear from you if you are an experienced digital communications professional with: * At least five years' experience in communications, media or digital content roles, including social media delivery and support. * Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to turn complex information into plain English. * Expertise in social media content creation, publishing and channel management. * Good understanding of current social media trends, audience engagement and digital content best practice. * Experience working with a range of stakeholders and building productive relationships. * Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. * Sound judgement and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. * Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data and insights to improve content performance. * Knowledge of Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram and other relevant digital platforms. * Experience creating video content for digital channels would be an advantage. * Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Te Reo Māori and Māori customs and protocols would be beneficial.
