AI Architect

We are seeking an experienced AI Azure Solution Architect to lead the design, architecture, and delivery of innovative AI and Generative AI solutions across large-scale enterprise transformation programmes. This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of AI innovation, helping organisations unlock value through Azure's evolving AI ecosystem.
About the RoleAs an AI Azure Solution Architect, you will work closely with customers, business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to design scalable, secure, and production-ready AI platforms. You will provide technical leadership across the full AI life cycle, from strategy and architecture through to deployment, governance, and adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver enterprise AI and Generative AI solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Architect and implement solutions leveraging Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Cognitive Services, and other Azure AI capabilities.
- Design scalable AI platforms across cloud-native and hybrid environments.
- Lead the design of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using vector databases and Azure AI Search.
- Develop prompt engineering strategies and AI orchestration frameworks.
- Guide to engineering teams on AI architecture best practices, solution patterns, and delivery approaches.
- Design AI-powered automation and document processing solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify AI opportunities and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Run customer workshops, solution discovery sessions, demonstrations, and executive presentations.
- Define AI governance, security, responsible AI controls, and operational frameworks.
- 10+ years of experience delivering enterprise technology solutions.
- 5+ years of experience designing solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise AI and Generative AI solutions.
- Strong experience with:
- Azure OpenAI Service
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Prompt Engineering
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Azure AI Search (Cognitive Search)
- Vector Databases
- Azure AI Document Intelligence
- AI Agents and AI Automation
- Semantic Kernel and AI orchestration frameworks
- Experience deploying, fine-tuning, and optimising AI models.
- Strong Python development skills.
- Experience working with structured and unstructured datasets.
- Ability to lead technical teams and influence architecture decisions across enterprise programmes.
Highly Desirable - Azure Machine Learning (Azure ML)
- MLOps and LLMOps
- Azure Data Engineering
- Databricks and Mosaic AI
- AI governance and model life cycle management
- Experience building secure enterprise AI platforms
- Consulting experience delivering customer-facing AI initiatives
- Experience with Copilot technologies and Agentic AI solutions
