You'll play a key role in transforming how Finance operates across Pepperstone. Sitting at the intersection of Finance, Data and Technology, you'll work closely with stakeholders to understand business challenges and design scalable automation solutions that improve efficiency, reduce operational risk and support our continued growth. You'll help drive our transition from bespoke processes towards enterprise-grade automation frameworks, leveraging low-code platforms, AI capabilities and data-driven solutions.
As our Finance Automation Engineer, your key responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
- Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to analyse operational processes and identify opportunities to streamline, optimise and automate workflows.
- Design and configure automation solutions using low-code and enterprise platforms, including workflows, business rules, alerts, dashboards and reporting.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions while acting as the bridge between business and technical teams.
- Support data analysis, quality improvement and process optimisation initiatives to drive better business outcomes.
- Contribute to solution delivery through testing, documentation, training, stakeholder engagement and ongoing production support.
About You
- You have experience delivering technology, automation or transformation initiatives within financial services, fintech or similarly complex environments.
- You bring a strong understanding of Finance Operations, including areas such as reconciliations, invoicing, journals, pricing or related financial processes.
- You're confident working with data and possess strong SQL and Excel skills, with the ability to turn insights into practical solutions.
- You enjoy solving complex problems, improving processes and translating business needs into scalable technology outcomes.
- Experience with low-code platforms such as Appian, Microsoft Power Platform or similar automation technologies will be highly regarded, as will exposure to modern data tools and AI-enabled process automation
