About the Role

Sitting within Strategy & Platforms and reporting to the GM – Strategy & Platforms, this role owns TEG's brand, market positioning and reputation across internal and external audiences. You'll span internal communications, corporate and media relations, consumer PR, and issues management – ensuring TEG speaks with one clear, consistent and compelling voice to fans, media, partners and our own people. Just as importantly, you'll be a culture-builder, shaping how our people hear about, connect with and celebrate the business they're part of.

Outcomes to deliver

  • Communications strategy: Develop, implement and regularly review an integrated internal and external communications strategy aligned to TEG's business objectives, and build Strategic Business Narratives that bring key media and industry stakeholders along on TEG's journey.
  • Media relations: Write, edit and distribute media releases and statements to a high standard, build and manage relationships with media and public opinion leaders, and own the media contacts database and monitoring system.
  • Internal communications & culture: Lead TEG's internal communications program with the People team, using storytelling, recognition, events and campaigns to keep our people informed, engaged and connected to TEG's strategy and wins.
  • Brand & PR alignment: Partner with PR, brand, marketing and social teams to protect and elevate TEG's external brand image, ensuring consistent tone, message and identity across owned, earned and social channels.
  • Issues management: Identify and manage issues, develop holding positions and response plans, and own the issues response plan and support the SLT in the event of an issue.

Capabilities you will bring:

  • Communications experience: 7-10+ years across internal and external communications, ideally with a mix of in-house and agency experience.
  • A trusted voice: Outstanding writing, presentation and communication skills, with the credibility to be a respected spokesperson and relationship builder.
  • PR and issues expertise: Proven consumer PR experience and a track record managing issues, working with external agencies, and placing media releases through strong media relationships.
  • Culture builder: Experience building internal engagement and culture through channels, content, campaigns and events.
  • Stakeholder savvy: Strong internal and external stakeholder management skills, including experience engaging government stakeholders, backed by sharp analytical and organisational skills.

We’re Australasia’s home of live entertainment – from stadium tours to your local comedy show – and we look after the people who make it happen.
