Business Development Manager, DACH
At SiteMinder we believe the individual contributions of our employees are what drive our success. That’s why we hire and encourage diverse teams that include and respect a variety of voices, identities, backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. Our diverse and inclusive culture enables our employees to bring their unique selves to work and be proud of doing so. It’s in our differences that we will keep revolutionising the way for our customers. We are better together!
What We Do…
We’re people who love technology but know that hoteliers just want things to be simple. So since 2006 we’ve been constantly innovating our world-leading hotel commerce platform to help accommodation owners find and book more guests online - quickly and simply.
We’ve helped everyone from boutique hotels to big chains, enabling travellers to book igloos, cabins, castles, holiday parks, campsites, pubs, resorts, Airbnbs, and everything in between.
And today, we’re the world’s leading open hotel commerce platform, supporting 50,000 hotels in 150+ countries - with over 130 million reservations processed by SiteMinder’s technology every year.
As a Business Development Manager you will be a key driver of new business growth across the DACH region, engaging and advising customers across various segments from small independent hotels and boutique properties to large hotel groups and travel tech partners. You will be joining and representing the leading AI technology platform redefining guest acquisition and hotel revenue management. You will be relied on not just to close new business but to strategically influence pipeline growth, long-term partnerships and commercial excellence.
We won't throw you into the deep end - you'll be trained on our products, industry and sales processes. We have a month-long sales training and onboarding program to make sure you are set up for success. You will be supported by a dedicated sales coach and a buddy, as well as your team leader, who will coach, guide and motivate you to achieve your professional goals.
We know that an attractive compensation package is a key motivator in sales. SiteMinder offers you not only this, but also a working environment that represents ambition, collaboration, self-development and customer-centricity. If you identify with our core values (We Hustle, We Come Together, We Grow, We Make Things Simple) and you are a sales hunter at heart and able to work at a fast pace, we want to hear from you!
What You'll Do...
Lead full-cycle sales and business development: identify, engage and convert new prospects into customers.
Strategic territory and pipeline growth: define and execute strategic qualification routines, build segmented pipelines from your territory, and prioritise opportunities that deliver high value.
Consistently achieving sales KPIs and targets: work towards daily, weekly and monthly targets. Accountability will be important to help you succeed.
Trusted advisor engagement: conduct insightful discovery and product presentations, consulting on clients’ business and commercial goals, and present proposals to clients in a professional and confident manner. Negotiate contracts as required, maintaining a balance between optimal service and value for the client and SiteMinder's profit margins.
CRM ownership & intelligence: maintain disciplined CRM practices to ensure pipeline, forecasts, reporting, and customer insights are accurate and actionable.
Collaborate across functions: partner with Onboarding, Marketing, Product and Customer Success teams to refine market messaging, feedback loops, and go-to-market strategies that will improve our competitiveness.
Representing the company: work with local industry groups and travel associations to promote SiteMinder’s products and brand. Attend key functions and events, support webinars and other tactical initiatives to raise brand awareness, requiring occasional travel to client locations to attend meetings with relevant managers.
What You Have...
Sales & business development experience: extensive experience closing deals with full-cycle responsibility, ideally across SaaS, hospitality technology, hotel operations, revenue management, or related commercial services.
Industry fluency: solid understanding of the hospitality value chain (hotel management, revenue strategy, guest acquisition…).
Consultative and outcome-focused sales skills: demonstrated ability to diagnose business needs, tailor solutions and influence decision-making with impact.
Remote-ready communication & autonomy: excellent verbal and written communicator, strong listener, adept at building rapport and driving processes without day-to-day supervision.
Resilience & growth mindset: high level of self-motivation, curiosity to learn continuously and openness to feedback and coaching.
Analytical and tech-savvy: strong proficiency with CRM and sales tools.
Fluent in German (min. C2) and professional proficiency in English.
