
Finance Manager
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of our software company. The Finance Manager will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, reporting, cash flow management, compliance, and supporting strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong financial management skills, experience in the technology or software industry, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the company's day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and treasury activities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure financial stability.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to management.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, accounting standards, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls and financial policies.
- Support pricing strategies, profitability analysis, and financial modeling for software products and services.
- Monitor project profitability, revenue recognition, and cost allocation for software development projects.
- Partner with department heads to support budgeting and financial decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and implement automation where appropriate.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports and business analyses as requested by senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
- Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or CFA is preferred.
Experience
- 7+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting.
- At least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Experience in a software, SaaS, or technology company is highly preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial management software.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Solid understanding of IFRS or GAAP accounting standards.
- Experience with revenue recognition principles, particularly for software or SaaS businesses.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Odoo, or similar).
- Knowledge of financial analysis, cash flow management, taxation, and internal controls.
- Familiarity with BI and reporting tools such as Power BI is an advantage.
