Are you a Clinical Pharmacist (Independent Prescriber) who wants to help us shape the future of treatment? This is your opportunity to work at the cutting edge of cannabis-based medicines, supporting patients with complex, often life-changing conditions, in a role that truly values your clinical judgement and expertise.

Join a passionate, forward-thinking team in a rapidly growing field where no two patients - or days - are the same. You’ll have real autonomy, meaningful patient impact, and the chance to influence how care is delivered, not just today but for years to come.

What is the job?

We are recruiting a Clinical Pharmacist (Independent Prescriber) to join our expansion into Bristol.

This is a hands-on, patient-focused role. You will prescribe and review cannabis-based medicines for patients with complex clinical needs, delivering safe, effective and personalised treatment across a wide range of conditions.

Collaboration is central to how we work. It is a genuine opportunity to grow your expertise and make a lasting impact in a fast-evolving specialty.

The role is based three days on site and two days remotely. Core hours are 11am to 8pm on weekdays, with two weekend shifts per month (Saturday or Sunday). Days in lieu are provided for all weekend working.

  • Prescribe medicines as an Independent Prescriber, tailoring treatments to individual patient needs

  • Provide expert guidance to prescribers and patients on treatment options

  • Maintain accurate patient records in line with GPhC standards

  • Support the dispensary team by handling complex clinical queries

  • Deliver education and training on CBPM to patients, clinicians, and staff

  • Collaborate with the wider team to streamline processes and improve outcomes

What do you need?

  • GPhC registered pharmacist with an Independent Prescriber (IP) qualification

  • At least 2 years prescribing experience

  • Experience working in a clinical setting

  • Knowledge of CBPM is desired not essential or willingness to undergo specialised training

  • Clear and confident communicator across clinical and non-clinical settings

  • Highly effective at managing time and prioritising competing demands

  • Proactive and resourceful when identifying and resolving problems

  • Well-organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage complex workflows

What we offer:

  • Generous Leave: 25 days holiday (rising to 27 after year one and 30 after year three) + bank holidays

  • Pension Matching: Up to 5% employer matching contributions

  • Private Healthcare Scheme

  • Flexibility and Wellness: Work-from-home options, cycle-to-work scheme, and more

  • Growth Opportunities: Collaborate across teams and represent Montu at events, with support to grow your skills and impact
