Senior Manager, Pricing Strategy
Company Description
We’re Checkout.com. You might not know our name, but companies like eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony do, because we’re behind many of the digital experiences you use every day.
We are where the world checks out, enabling over 10 billion transactions yearly for more than one billion global shoppers.
Whether you want to book a holiday, order food, renew a subscription, or check out online, there’s a good chance our tech powers the payments behind the scenes. Our platform helps the most ambitious businesses deliver effortless digital experiences, at scale.
If you want to do career-defining work, you’ve come to the right place. We move fast, think globally, and believe great teams are built by hiring exceptional people with conviction, curiosity, and the desire to make an impact.
With 20 offices across six continents and London as our HQ, we’re shaping the future of fintech – and we’re just getting started.
Checkout.com is looking for a dynamic and strategic Senior Manager, Pricing Strategy to join our global Pricing Team. Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Pricing Strategy, you will drive the end-to-end execution of our global pricing strategy, serving as a primary architect for new and existing frameworks.
This is a high-impact position with regular exposure to senior leadership across the Checkout group. In this role, you will act as the deputy for the Senior Director in their absence. While there are no direct reports, you will maintain full project ownership from inception to completion, ensuring deliverables are executed on time and to the highest standard.
Based in London with a global remit, you will operate at the intersection of Commercial, Product Strategy, and Finance. This role requires exceptional project management skills, deep pricing fluency, and the commercial acumen to align internal product and commercial roadmaps. You will ensure our frameworks effectively capture and retain clients, while playing an instrumental role in securing sign-off for new structures and customer repricing initiatives.
How You'll Make an Impact
Global Pricing Strategy: Lead the development, refinement, and governance of product pricing frameworks across all product verticals at Checkout.com.
Cross-Functional Orchestration: Drive alignment between Commercial, Product, and Finance teams as the primary lead for establishing product pricing and discounting structures.
Competitor Intelligence: Manage pricing competitor intelligence alongside internal and external providers, ensuring frameworks are continuously optimized with data-driven recommendations.
Governance and Process Architecture: Develop scalable internal frameworks and playbooks to accelerate speed-to-market and maintain operational efficiency during global expansions.
Pricing Reviews: Implement advanced tools and robust processes—leveraging AI where applicable—to ensure agility and rigorous governance in product rollouts.
What We're Looking For
Payments Expertise: 5+ years of commercial experience in the payments industry within a fast-paced B2B environment, demonstrating a strong track record of designing profitable pricing models.
Strategic Pricing Delivery: Direct experience successfully designing, drafting, and launching complex global pricing strategies and structural frameworks.
Project Management Mastery: An exceptionally organized operator comfortable managing large-scale, multi-departmental initiatives under tight timelines.
Exceptional Communication: Ability to clearly communicate complex pricing models, strategies, and governance standards to stakeholders at all leadership levels.
Ambiguity & Drive: A builder's mindset—highly autonomous, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and energized by shaping a rapidly scaling global blueprint.
