Join us at Taskrabbit, where your work will be meaningful, your ideas valued, and your potential unleashed!</p></div><p><strong>This role operates on a hybrid schedule requiring two days of in-office collaboration per week (Tuesdays &amp; Wednesdays) from our office in London.</strong></p> <h3><strong>About the Role</strong></h3> <p>The <strong>Senior Accountant</strong> is responsible for overseeing the accurate, complete, and timely management of the organization's core disbursement accounting processes and international accounting statutory processes. This includes comprehensive management and accounting for <strong>procure-to-pay (P2P)</strong>, <strong>employee expenses</strong>, <strong>fixed and intangible assets</strong>, and <strong>software capitalization</strong>. The Senior Accountant will supervise an offshore team and be directly responsible for the accurate accounting and reconciliation of disbursement related expense, asset, and liability accounts.</p> <h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3> <h4><strong>A. Team and Process Management:</strong></h4> <ul> <li><strong>Supervise Offshore Team:</strong> Manage and direct the daily activities of the offshore team (3 contractors) to ensure the complete, accurate, and timely processing of all vendor invoices and employee expense reports.</li> <li><strong>Procure-to-Pay (P2P):</strong> Oversee the full P2P cycle, from vendor file maintenance, invoice receipt and coding, payment disbursement, posting monthly accruals, and completing monthly reconciliations ensuring proper controls are maintained.</li> <li><strong>Employee Expenses:</strong> Manage the end-to-end employee expense reporting and reimbursement process, ensuring compliance with T&amp;E policies and system optimization.</li> <li><strong>Help Desk:</strong> Serve as the primary point of contact for all AP and expense-related inquiries received via Slack and email, overseeing the team's responses to ensure timely and accurate resolution.</li> <li><strong>International Statutory Accounting: </strong>Work closely with our 3rd party accountants and auditors to ensure statutory accounting compliance for our Poland and UK entities.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <h4><strong>B. Accounting and Reconciliation:</strong></h4> <ul> <li><strong>Account Reconciliation:</strong> Own reconciling disbursement related accounts, including: Prepaid vendor expenses, prepaid rent, fixed assets, intangible assets, accumulated depreciation, lease accounts, A/P, Ramp liability, accrued expenses, and accrued litigation.&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Fixed Assets:</strong> Manage the fixed asset lifecycle, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, disposals, and reconciliation. Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of Fixed Assets and Depreciation. Properly account for all lease agreements.&nbsp;</li> <li><strong>Intangible Assets:</strong> Account for Intangible Assets and Amortization and Software Capitalization, ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards.</li> <li><strong>Month-End Close:</strong> Contribute to the month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring all disbursement-related entries and reconciliations are completed accurately, completely, and timely.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.</li> <li>4+ years of progressive experience in accounting function including AP supervisory experience.</li> <li>ICAEW ACA, ACCA or CPA certification a plus.</li> <li>Big 4 experience is a plus.&nbsp;</li> <li>Previous experience at a technology company is a plus.&nbsp;</li> <li>Proven experience overseeing P2P processes and supervising a team.</li> <li>Knowledgeable of UK and Polish accounting principles and rules.</li> <li>Netsuite, Ramp, Tipalti, and Slack system knowledge would be an advantage.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize appropriately, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h2><strong>Compensation &amp; Benefits:&nbsp;</strong></h2> <p>At Taskrabbit, our approach to compensation is designed to be competitive, transparent, and equitable. Total compensation consists of base pay + bonus + benefits + perks.</p> <p>The base pay range for this position is<strong> </strong>£49,000 - <span class="rQesXe MPyX">£</span>70,000. This range is representative of base pay only, and does not include any other total cash compensation amounts, such as company bonus or benefits.
