The Role
Working closely with the Bid, Business Development and Technical teams, you will be responsible for creating compelling written content for public and private sector tenders, while also producing supporting marketing and bid collateral including project data sheets, capability statements, staff CVs and other business development materials.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in the construction, engineering or building services sector who enjoys transforming technical information into engaging, client-focused content.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, write, edit and proofread high-quality content for tender submissions.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather technical information and convert it into clear, compelling and persuasive bid responses.
- Produce and maintain project data sheets, staff CVs, capability statements and other supporting documentation.
- Ensure all content aligns with Designer Group's brand, tone of voice and quality standards.
- Support the continuous improvement of bid content by maintaining a library of standard responses and reusable content.
- Work closely with Business Development, Operations and technical teams to capture project information and client success stories.
- Review tender documentation to ensure written responses fully address client requirements and evaluation criteria.
- Assist with the preparation of presentation materials and other business development documentation where required.
- Manage multiple deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
About You
You will be an excellent communicator with a passion for producing high-quality written content and an ability to understand complex technical information quickly.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in bid writing, proposal development or technical content writing.
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
- Ability to translate technical information into clear, engaging and persuasive content.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with both public and private sector tender submissions.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Desirable
- Experience working within an M&E contractor or engineering consultancy.
- Knowledge of public procurement processes.
- Experience using bid management or document management systems.
- Marketing or communications experience within the construction industry.
