Talent Resourcer - FTC 6m
At DC Thomson, we are a business with a purpose: to make a positive impact on the communities we serve. We are home to some of the UK’s best-loved and trusted media brands, including The Beano, The Press and Journal, The Courier, The Sunday Post, The People’s Friend, My Weekly, Puzzler, Stylist, Findmypast, Brightsolid and more.
We are investing in data, technology and talent to shape the future of media, deepen our understanding of what matters to our audiences and create content, products and experiences that connect with communities across the UK and beyond.
We’re looking for a super-organised, people-focused Talent Resourcer to join our People Team and help us create a brilliant recruitment experience for candidates and hiring managers. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at an early stage in their HR or recruitment career who enjoys connecting with people, keeping things moving and taking pride in the details.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll support a wide range of People Team initiatives, with a strong focus on recruitment, sourcing, candidate engagement and interview coordination. You’ll help keep hiring activity moving by supporting candidates, hiring managers and People colleagues through a clear, well-managed recruitment process.
- Support assigned recruitment campaigns through candidate attraction, sourcing, screening and administration.
- Review applications against agreed criteria and help progress candidates through the recruitment process.
- Use recruitment platforms, LinkedIn, talent pools and job boards to help identify and engage potential candidates.
- Coordinate interviews, assessment activities and recruitment logistics across multiple stakeholders.
- Keep candidates informed with timely, clear and friendly communication throughout the hiring journey.
- Maintain accurate records in Workable, recruitment trackers and associated systems.
- Support hiring managers and People colleagues by keeping recruitment activity organised, consistent and moving at pace.
- Identify practical ways to improve candidate experience, process efficiency and recruitment administration.
You do not need to have years of experience behind you, we’re more interested in your curiosity, organisation, communication skills and enthusiasm for building a career in HR. If you’re great at sourcing, enjoy speaking with candidates/customers, love a well-managed to-do list and care about giving people a positive experience, this could be a great role for you.
Skills:
- You are highly organised, detail-focused and comfortable managing multiple tasks at once.
- You enjoy speaking with people and can communicate clearly, warmly and professionally.
- You take pride in creating a positive candidate, customer or stakeholder experience.
- You are curious about recruitment, people, HR or talent and keen to develop your career in this area.
- You are confident using digital tools, systems and spreadsheets, or willing to learn quickly.
- You can follow a process, keep accurate records and spot when something needs to be escalated.
- You are proactive, reliable and comfortable working with different people across a busy team.
- Experience in one of these areas is desirable: recruitment, HR, customer service, administration, sourcing or coordination
To apply for this role, please follow our online application process and submit a CV and cover letter.
Closing date: 19th August 2026.
