UK QA Engineer
Following rapid expansion in all markets, and major new contract wins, Reset Health are looking to expand the technical team across multiple geographies with the goal of enhancing the product for all markets.
This role will be a key member of our QA team, central to delivering high quality software under our ISO13485 QMS. You’ll play an important part in helping us transition to greater use of automation and AI in QA.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, write, and execute manual and automated test cases for our web and native smartphone applications, across all our markets.
- Apply AI tools responsibly to deliver productivity benefits while maintaining full oversight.
- Build and maintain automated test suites, integrating them into our CI/CD pipeline so regressions are caught before release.
- Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and API testing, and clearly document and track defects through to resolution.
- Work to strong technical standards and best practice software quality assurance: test planning, peer review of test cases, traceability between requirements and tests.
- Fully engage with our agile development process: sprint planning, refinement, sub-tasking, story point estimates all managed in Jira.
- Collaborate closely with our global development team, and with product and design, to raise quality issues early in the development lifecycle.
- Assist our operations team with technical questions and reproducing customer issues.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Good problem-solving techniques and a keen eye for detail.
- Good interpersonal and team-working skills, including comfortably collaborating async across time zones and cultures.
- A good understanding of the software development lifecycle and where quality assurance fits within it.
- A strong drive to continue learning and improving.
- A great work ethic, and above all, enthusiasm and a desire to do well.
Essential
- Degree in Computer Science/STEM subject, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in software QA/testing for web applications and native mobile apps in a commercial environment.
- Experience designing and executing manual test plans, test cases, and exploratory testing.
- Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g. Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or Appium for mobile).
- Experience testing RESTful APIs, including tools such as Postman.
- Familiarity with working under an Agile SDLC using Jira, Confluence, and Git.
- Experience integrating automated tests into a CI/CD pipeline.
- Understanding of defect lifecycle management and clear, reproducible bug reporting.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
Desirable
- Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards and accessibility testing.
- Exposure to regulated software development in healthcare, especially international standards such as ISO9001, ISO27001 and ISO13485.
- Experience with performance or load testing tools (e.g. JMeter, k6).
- Basic scripting or programming ability (e.g. JavaScript/TypeScript) to write and maintain automated tests.
- Previous experience building or maintaining a shared test-automation framework or component library.
- Able to translate designs and requirements into clear, testable acceptance criteria.
- A keen eye for maintaining quality standards during code and test reviews.
- Exposure to Docker would be helpful but is not essential.
What we offer
- Competitive salary of up to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience
- Opportunities to build skills and progress within a growing digital health organisation
- Private medical insurance
- Enhanced parental leave
- Enhanced sick leave
- Pension scheme
To apply, please send your CV along with a short note explaining how you meet the requirements and why you would like to join Reset Health. Interviews will be held on a rolling basis.
