Senior Account Manager (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)
The Senior Account Manager combines hands-on account delivery with line management of two Account Managers, taking on the more complex or sensitive workstreams and acting as the first point of escalation before issues reach the Account Director. The role covers the same core areas as the Account Manager team – Sphere job builds and POS briefing, post-campaign reporting, the promo plan, price tiles and PIS, B2B collateral, Credit & Services POS and ad-hoc campaigns – with added quality oversight across the team's output.
Beyond delivery, the Senior Account Manager manages workload allocation, coaching and development for two Account Managers, contributes to performance reviews, and deputises for the Account Director when needed. This role suits someone with a strong Account Manager track record who is ready to take on people leadership alongside continued hands-on delivery, with a clear path towards an Account Director role in future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality oversight – Quality-check Sphere job builds, briefs and allocations completed by the Account Manager team; personally manage the most complex or time-critical campaigns.
- Reporting review – Review POD reporting and POE decks produced by the team before they are shared further.
- Promo plan sign-off – Own the final accuracy check on the promo plan ahead of sign-off.
- Price tiles & PIS oversight – Oversee the price tile and PIS processes across the team, resolving escalations.
- B2B & Credit & Services – Act as senior point of contact for B2B collateral and Credit & Services POS, reviewing and supporting Account Manager-led work.
- Ad-hoc campaigns & projects – Lead the most complex ad-hoc campaigns and projects, delegating and overseeing others within the team.
- Stock & write-off governance – Hold overall responsibility for stock and write-off governance within the team.
- Line management – Line manage 2 Account Managers: workload allocation, one-to-ones, coaching and development.
- Escalation & deputising – Act as first point of escalation for the Account Manager team, support the Account Director with senior review/QBR prep, and deputise during absence.
- Proven experience managing POS/in-store marketing production at Account Manager level or above, ideally via Sphere or similar.
- Some prior experience of, or clear readiness for, line management and mentoring.
- Comfortable owning complex or ambiguous workstreams with minimal oversight.
- Good judgement on when to resolve issues personally versus escalate to the Account Director.
- Well-spoken and professional, confident representing ITG to more senior client and agency stakeholders.
- Retail, FMCG or trade marketing production experience is an advantage.
- Able to balance personal delivery with team leadership under competing deadlines.
