
Senior Digital Project Coordinator
We're looking for an experienced Senior Digital Project Coordinator to join our Transport & Infrastructure Technology & Innovation team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering parental leave.

In this role, you'll support our Digital PMO and Project Managers to successfully deliver technology and innovation initiatives that create meaningful outcomes for frontline teams across New Zealand.
You'll provide end-to-end coordination support across a diverse portfolio of projects, with a particular focus on project financial administration, governance and reporting. Working closely with Project Managers and our PMO Manager, you'll help ensure projects remain organised, financially accurate, well-governed and on track for successful delivery.
This role would suit a highly organised and proactive coordinator who enjoys working across multiple initiatives, has strong financial administration and stakeholder management skills, and brings a continuous improvement mindset. There may also be opportunities to manage small projects or work packages as capacity allows, making this an excellent opportunity to further develop your project management capability.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Coordinator, Programme Coordinator or PMO Coordinator, ideally within a digital, technology or IT environment
- Strong experience supporting project financial management, including purchase orders, invoices, forecasting and reconciliation
- Experience coordinating projects using waterfall, agile or hybrid delivery methodologies
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Strong written communication skills, including reporting, minute-taking and stakeholder communications
- Experience supporting governance forums, project reporting and risk and issue management
- High attention to detail and a quality-focused approach
- Confidence building effective working relationships across project teams, finance, vendors and business stakeholders
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
Qualifications (Desirable):
- PRINCE2, CAPM, PMP or equivalent project management qualification
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Technology, Project Management or a related discipline
