AVP/VP, Business Development, Private Markets (Secondaries)
Vice President / Assistant Vice President — Secondaries & Business Development
Qapita Pte. Ltd. | Singapore | Full-Time
About Qapita
Qapita is an equity management solutions provider that helps companies manages Cap Tables, ESOP programs. Over 2,900 companies across Singapore, India, Indonesia, and the US are its customers. Backed by Charles Schwab, Citibank, MassMutual Ventures, and other leading global VC investors, we sit at the intersection of fintech infrastructure and private capital markets.
The Secondaries & Liquidity Programs team at Qapita Pte. Ltd., Singapore, originates, and distributes pre-IPO secondary transactions — working with VCs, family offices, institutional investors, and HNIs.
The Role
We are looking for a self-motivated business development professional to join our secondaries desk. This is a client-facing, revenue-generating role.
You will own the full business development cycle for secondary transactions: identifying and engaging family offices and institutional investors, building relationships, qualifying deal interest, and closing. You will be based in Singapore and work directly with the Business Head.
What You Will Do:
Business Development
· Build and manage a pipeline of family offices, multi-family offices, and institutional investors across Singapore and wider Asia
· Lead outreach, relationship development, and deal qualification with target LPs
· Represent Qapita at investor events, industry forums, and roadshows
· Develop and maintain investor materials (teasers, pitch decks, and deal memos) in coordination with the team
· Deal Origination and Execution Support
· Work alongside the Business Head on securing secondary transactions
· Coordinate investor diligence processes, term discussions, and closing logistics
· Track deal flow, investor mandates, and pipeline in CRM systems
Market Intelligence
· Stay current on pre-IPO secondary market trends globally, key unlisted company developments, and investor sentiment
Compliance and Conduct
· Operate within MAS CMS regulatory requirements at all times
· Ensure all investor interactions and deal activities meet internal compliance standards
We Are Looking For:
Experience
· 5 to 10 years in a regulated financial institution — wealth management, asset management, investment banking, or a capital markets-focused fintech
· Demonstrated track record in business development or client-facing roles with coverage of family offices and/or institutional investors
· Exposure to private markets (private equity, venture secondaries, pre-IPO investments, or alternatives) is preferred
· Experience working with investors across Southeast Asia; broader Asian or Middle East coverage is a plus
Skills
· Strong communicator (written and verbal); ability to engage sophisticated investors with clarity and confidence
· Comfortable handling the full BD cycle independently, from cold outreach through to close
· Proficient in building investor materials (PowerPoint, Excel modelling, deal summaries) and working with AI tools
· Analytical thinker with the ability to assess deal merit and frame investment rationale
Regulatory
· Must hold or be eligible to hold a MAS Representative Notification under CMS License
· IBF-certified (CMFAS Modules 1B, CM-SIP or equivalent); candidates who have cleared relevant IBF examinations will be given priority
Traits
· High ownership mentality – as part of a fast growing fintech and the secondaries team, self-starters who can deal with ambiguity well
· Structured and detail-oriented; comfortable managing multiple deals and investor conversations simultaneously
· Credible with senior stakeholders at family offices and investment committees
Why This Role
· You will have real deal exposure from day one
· Work with an experienced team across a fast-growing segment of capital markets
· Competitive fixed compensation + performance-linked variable
How to Apply
If you are interested email (mention the role in the subject) directly with a covering note to [email protected]
Preference will be given to candidates who are in Singapore.
All applications will be treated in confidence. Only applications received on email will be considered.
