
Children & Families First Social Worker
Liquid Personnel is recruiting experienced Social Workers to join BCP Council's Children & Families First Team based in Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole, Dorset. About the Role
As a Social Worker within the Children & Families First Team, you will work with children subject to Child in Need and Child Protection Plans, supporting families where longer-term intervention is required to reduce risk and achieve sustainable positive outcomes.
The service adopts a restorative and relationship-based practice model, enabling practitioners to build meaningful relationships with children and families while delivering effective safeguarding and support interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of children and families requiring ongoing support
- Complete high-quality assessments and care planning
- Undertake Child in Need, Child Protection, and statutory safeguarding work
- Build and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and partner agencies
- Contribute to positive and sustainable outcomes for children and young people
- Ensure practice is compliant with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
Requirements
- Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent)
- Social Work England registration
- Significant frontline safeguarding experience within Children's Services
- Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Experience managing complex caseloads
- Commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and families
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel across the BCP area
