
Material Administrator

POSITION SUMMARY
To assist the Materials Department to World Class. This position is responsible for the administration of material receiving stations to shop floor and all Point of Use locations. The Materials Administrator will improve the departments and themselves through training and continuing education.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Responsible for Uncontrollable counts, reconciliation and Transacting inventory adjustments while also continually improving and driving the reduction of inventory adjustments.
- Responsible for following processes in Receiving and processing material to POU location by required date including working cross functionally with Finance, Purchasing, Internal Audit, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and all other related departments to achieve departmental goals. (Back Up Function)
- Responsible for following processes in Shipping and processing all outbound shipments by required date including working cross functionally with Finance, Purchasing, Internal Audit, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and all other related departments to achieve departmental goals. (Back Up Function).
- Maintain material in STAGING REC 99 (material with no default locator) within 24 hours.
- Responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy and achieving inventory goals.
- Assist in the monitoring and measurements to meet all materials goals. (Fusion Metrics as a Back up)
- Monitoring and maintaining the accuracy of Live Bus records through reconciliation and Inventory analysis.
- Promote and participate in lean manufacturing and 5's programs for materials and engage the 5P's (prior planning prevents poor performance).
- Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the data in the systems as well as measurements of all areas in materials.
- Responsible for discrete job accuracy; maintaining accuracy of data requirements and reject requirements through inventory analysis.
- Provide assistance in maintaining sub-inventories.
- Provide assistance with ISO procedures and work instructions.
- Monitor to meet goal expectations with the following: UORS, variance, and maintain in- transit within 24 hours with a work here list and work ASBN list as part of the receiving function.
- Assist the materials team and leadership in achieving the budget in materials, supplies, salary/indirect labor, overtime and operational expenses.
- Ensuring compliance to ISO procedures, work instructions, 5P's to promote continuous improvement within the department.
- Reconcile material issues and define root cause of any material variances.
- Responsible to work all error lists associated with receiving and transfer demands beyond original facility.
- Maintain knowledge and working cross functionally with other departments in materials, equipment and technique.
- Maintain a safe work environment; adhere to safety policies, procedures and processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- APICS certification or currently enrolled in the APICS program (Preferred)
- Exceptional Excel skills with analytical strengths
- Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous manufacturing experience
- 3-5 years of previous experience (Preferred)
- Analytical skills, multi-tasking, team player, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with large volumes of data.
